A list of challenges I've joined, simply to kick start myself into reading within a time limit!

2010 Debut Authors Challenge

A challenge run by Kristi at the Story Siren which you should definately join, it sounds so much fun! Just click the link, it'll send you to information page, the sign up link is on that post as well.

The new books coming out in 2010 sound fantastic, I can't wait! Anyway, here's my list of (possible) books, the possible accounting for the fact that fails continually with actually getting some of them in stock, and the fact that I don't know much about them yet but I'll make a more definite decision closer to the time of their release.

1. The False Princess by Eilis O'Neal (May)

2. The Iron King by Julie Kagawa (February - looking forward to this one x)

3. Forget-Her-Nots by Amy Brecount White (March)

4. Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkings (released in March)

5. Mistwood by Leah Cypress (April)

6. Everlasting by Angie Frazier (June, birthday month ;D)

7. Other by Karen Kincy (July)

8. Voices of Dragons by Carrie Vaughn (March)

9. Claire de Lune by Christine Johnson (May)

10. Nightshade by Andrea Cremer (October) / Whisper by Phoenix Kitanidis (April)

11. Princess for Hire by Lindsey Leavitt (March)

12. Plain Kate by Erin Bow

The dates are there just so I know when to get my orders in, they're not a reading order although, saying that, I can't exactly read a book I don't have can I?

Winter Reading Challenge

1. Read a book not set in the USA or England.

2. Read a book with “Ice”, "Frost", "Chill", "Cold" "Winter" in the title.

3. For Valentine's Day, choose an author whose first or last name begins with “L”.

4. Choose a book that is not part of a series.

5. Read a book written in the first-person point-of-view.

6. Read a book with “Mr”, “Mrs”, “Miss” or “Ms” in the title.

Chosen books;

1. Storm Glass by Maria V. Snyder (loved her Poison Study books, here's hoping these are just as good!)

2. Born of Ice by Sherrilyn Kenyon (book 3 in her League series)

3. One of the Argeaneau vampire series by Lynsay Sands

4. The Magician's Apprentice by Trudi Canavan

5. Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

6. The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever by Julia Quinn

Quite an eclectrical set, YA, historical romance, paranormal romance, sci-fi and fantasy all in one.
Wish me luck!
